Huawei Reserch Center Canada

Ren Zhengfei, the founder and CEO of Huawei, wants to make Canada the company's "global theoretical research center", despite being arrested in December 2018 for his daughter Meng Wanzhou's insistence on opposing US anti-Iranian sanctions in Vancouver.

In an interview with The Globe and Mail, Ren said that the diplomatic crisis between China and Canada did not change the idea of investing in Canada, but that this process slowed down. But he criticized the arrest of his daughter and said, bir A smarter country would ignore the US wil...

Ren also spoke about the trade ban imposed on Huawei. He criticized the US discourse that the firm posed a "national security threat" and was spying on the Chinese government.

"I don't think the US will take us off the trade ban list in full. He added Huawei to this list not because he had done anything wrong, but because he wanted to remove him completely from the United States. If someone wants to blame you, it will surely make up something."

According to him, the biggest problem that Huawei must face while trying to reduce its loyalty to the US is "difficult to predict". Open If even a small piece of your circuit board is missing, you may need to redesign the whole thing, which is quite time-consuming.

The US Department of Commerce added Huawei and 70 related companies to a list that prohibited US companies from doing business with them. Shortly after that, however, Huawei was granted a “temporary ticaret trade license that lasted 90 days. This license allowed Huawei to trade with US companies for 90 days.

In late May, China's Ministry of Commerce spokesman Gao Feng said that Bejing would respond to the ban by issuing its own list of trade prohibitions, which the country considers the unreliable foreign. The list included organizations that did not comply with market regulations and violated the rights of Chinese companies.

In recent months, Huawei has been accused of espionage and theft of information with his devices. The Chinese government and Huawei strongly rejected the accusations and underlined that the firm was independent of the government.
