Chinese technology giant Huawei, the US administration Android license was canceled after the announcement. Explaining that this is not a problem for the company and its users, Huawei said that they are working on their operating systems and will be ready in a few months.

The expected day came, and today, the Huawei Developer Conference began. As part of the events, the company was expected to introduce its new operating system, and as expected. Huawei introduced its own operating system.

The new operating system for all devices

Huawei's new OS will be replacing the company's use of Android. Huawei has been working on its new operating system since earlier this year when a ban was placed on its use of, and collaboration with, American hardware and software companies.

Up till Thursday, Huawei company was not giving all that complete information on its operating system development, only that it was working on one. Now, it's been confirmed that HarmonyOS will work on smartphones as well as home devices.
First, Huawei declared that its new OS would work best on home devices, but extending it to work in its smartphones is now something the OS will be capable of as well.

The company's Consumer Business Group CEO, Richard Yu, was the one to unveil the news at the Huawei developer conference. Yu said that the new operating system will run 'faster and safer' than Android. Yu also shared the information that the OS could be 'deployed' and used at any time, which is handy if Android is no longer accessible to Huawei devices.

It's still unsure when and if Google will fully remove the use of Android on Huawei's devices, but if it does happen, at least we now know they'll be ready for it.

Let's jump on to Huawei's latest HarmonyOS also talk about its highlights and features!

Huawei new operating system HarmanyOS features:

HarmonyOS Features

Huawei's operating system will now be known as HarmonyOS. In fact, the name has been said before, but it has become official with Huawei's announcement. HarmonyOS is welcomed as HongmengOS in Chinese. This name has already been mentioned many times before. HongmengOS has been finalized specifically for the Chinese market.

Any device you can think of having a processor will be able to use HarmonyOS!

any device will be able to use the Harmony OS.

Speaking at the events, Huawei's Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu explained that this operating system can be used in a wide range of areas and is the first microkernel-based operating system which means it will use as few resources as possible, ensuring fast operating speeds and minimum latency levels.

Richard Yu also declared that HarmonyOS is open-source and comes with a TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) for improved security across all devices. "It's open-source, and it means that they have developed an operating system that developers can work on."

Yu also explained that the HarmonyOS can be used in almost any product, from advanced products such as smartphones and smart TVs to simple sensors. Smart speakers, tablets, automobiles, computers, smartwatches, and wireless headphones will also be able to use the Harmony OS.

HarmonyOS Supports Android apps:

Sharing almost every detail of the operating system, Yu said HarmonyOS has a wide range of system support. According to Yu' report, HarmonyOS is the only one in the world that has been used in the world. It will be able to support every application developed based on Android, Linux, and HTML5. In addition, software languages such as Java, Javascript, Kotlin, C, and C++ will be used to develop this operating system.
“You can also develop your apps once, then flexibly deploy them across a range of different devices.”
We've got a couple more app lists if you're looking for some good stuff!:

A stable operating system that does not freeze does not contract:

HarmonyOS a stable operating system

Yu reports that HarmonyOS will deliver fast performance for users and explained that HarmonyOS can work in a wide range of memory ranges from RAM with kilobytes to with gigabytes.

The message to Google is clear: "We respect the ecosystem"

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business Group, said that the operating system is now available for use in smartphones, but respects ecosystems and partnerships. "Right now, all our smartphones are ready to switch to HarmonyOS, but we won't do it." Yu said, despite everything they want to stay connected to Google.

Taking into account the possible situations, Yu announced that google and the United States will begin switching to HarmonyOS if they are unable to use the Android operating system, according to the rulings.

The first device to be used will be a smart display:

He said that Huawei's first device using HarmonyOS will be a smart display system, Yu announced that within the next three years, wearable technological products using this operating system will be released and in the process, that they will continue to work on HarmonyOS for the brain parts of automobiles.

I cannot wait to use it and hope for further progress in the future. :)

HarmonyOS will be a completely open-source operating system!

HarmonyOS is completely open source

The HarmonyOS ecosystem will be completely open-source to developers. This will allow the new operating system to spread to more devices as quickly as possible.

Manufacturers will be able to customize the operating system according to their own devices. They will also be able to take full advantage of the HarmonyOS ecosystem.

The real competitor is neither Android nor iOS: The real competitor is Google Fuchsia OS!

The real competitor of HarmonyOS is Google Fuchsia OS!

Google has been working on Fuchsia OS, which is planned to replace Android soon. Fuchsia OS, which is planned to work on any device with the process just like Harmony OS, actually defines an ecosystem. The electronic devices we will use in the future will use ecosystem-based operating systems where they are gathered under the same roof instead of autonomous operating systems.

That's why Huawei's eye is no longer in a market that reaches its point of saturation and comes to an end. The company wants to be the biggest alternative to US-based modern ecosystem pioneers such as Google, Microsoft, and Apple.

Huawei's attack is not only among US companies in the coming years, but also a major indicator of global competition. In short, things point to more than the smartphones in our pockets.

How HarmonyOS works?

HarmonyOS is open-source, which means that other device-makers could theoretically use its operating system. Making it open-source could help the OS increase its range and attract more developers to develop apps for it. Having a large number of useful apps is important for any OS to be successful.
Rechard Yu said that "many" device makers "have strong interest" in using this OS, but declined to name them.
Yu thinks today’s operating systems - including Android and Apple’s iOS - don’t cater for the huge number of different devices that will be connected to the internet.
If we cannot use it (Android) in the future, we can immediately switch to HarmonyOS.
~ Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer division
HarmonyOS aims to create a single software that will work across devices, from smartphones and laptops that hold a large amount of memory and power, down to smaller hardware such as sensors, that require a lower bandwidth solution. In this way, Huawei hopes apps can work across numerous devices.

That could ultimately help its business, as the company sells products from smart speakers to smartphones. Being able to control the experience across hardware and software could ultimately help Huawei create differentiated products. It’s a recipe that has helped rival Apple find success.

Huawei will provide dev kits to its partners to immediately begin developing compatible apps and speed up the process of integration for the latest operating system. We expect more details on Huawei’s new OS in the coming days so stay tuned.
